Recommended Tire Chains for 2006 Chevy Silverado SRW LT 265/75/16
Question:
I have a 2006 Chev Silverado single rear wheel one ton pickup, 4 wheel drive. LT 265/75/16 I will be making a trip to Nevada in Oct/Nov and want a tire chain that I can quickly put on if chains are required to go over some of the Colorado I-70 passes. We live in Northern Mn but never use chains. What chains do you recommend?

The most popular tire chains with our customers for your vehicle and tire size are Glacier Twist-Link Snow Tire Chains # PWH2228SC. These are basic, inexpensive tire chains that offer a twist-link design for extra grip and traction and side cams for easy tightening and easy installation. These chains are designed for on road use only.
You should also check your owner's manual to determine if there are any restrictions on snow chain use with your Silverado. If you have clearance restrictions, then I recommend the cable chains like # PW2028C and rubber adjusters # PW105.
I have included some helpful articles offering an overview of snow tire chains.
