We use one of the KDF Carbon outdoor filters to fill water jugs for drinking water working outdoors. The water comes from a new city water line that has not yet been certified as potable. We assume your filter is adequate. Please confirm.

Yes, the Camco RV and Marine Disposable Water Filter w/ Hose Protector # CAM40043 that you referenced uses KDF, carbon, and a 100 micron barrier to remove bacteria, bad odor, chlorine, etc. so it would work well for you.

They are not interchangeable but we do have a replacement jumper air hose for the SMI Air Force one with the part #SM99666 if you wanted a backup.
