Availability of Replacement Base/Cover for Older Yakima Q-Tower Roof Rack

I have one of the older style Q-tower sets on my car and one of them is missing the base and cover. Will this newer style Q-tower work with the other 3 being the older style?

The part you referenced, Replacement Yakima Q Tower without Cam Cover Assembly # Y8880048, is an appropriate replacement part for the current generation of the Q-Tower. It is not compatible with the older version according to my contact at Yakima. You can tell if your rack is the discontinued version by checking for this characteristic: two hash marks on the top of the cover near where the crossbar enters it.

Yakima no longer has replacement parts for this older version.
