Kuat Sherpa # S103 Compatible with 2014 Subaru Crosstrek?
Question:
Hi, I just bought a new Subaru Crosstrek, and had the dealership install a 1 1/4inch hitch. The stock rack didnt have appropriate locking capabilities, so I didnt buy it. I really like the platform rack we have on our SUV its a Yakima Holdup but need something lighter for my Crosstrek. Would the Kuat Sherpa be a good choice? Ill be using it for both road and mountain bikes. Thanks in advance.

The Sherpa 2.0, # SH12B, should work very well with the 1-1/4 inch hitch on your Subaru. Just to make sure, measure the distance from the hitch pin hole in the receiver rearward until you clear the furthest rearward point of the rear bumper. If this distance is LESS than 7-3/4 inches (it should be), then the Sherpa will fit just fine, as well as being capable of folding into the storage position while it's installed on the vehicle.
The Sherpa is also available in a 2-inch hitch size as part # SH22B. I've linked you to product demonstration video.
