Installation of Curt Trailer Hitch 11286 on a 2012 Subaru Impreza
Question:
video says 7/16inch bolt goes in the front while the instructions says 7/16inch goes in rear?

The video for the isntallation of Curt hitch # C11286 does indicate the correct positions for the bolts and matches the instructions. The fishwire is also a 7/16 inch so that is likely where the confusion is. It is also not too easy to tell the front/back of the vehicle in the video but our installer did put the 7/16 inch bolts in the most rearward spot on the vehicle as the instructions indicate.
If you plan on doing any towing the correct ball mount is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch use # 19258. And for trailer wiring use # 118573. I have linked the wiring instructions for you.
