Troubleshooting Turn Signal/Brake Light, Curt Harness # C56225 Install on 2005 Nissan Frontier
Question:
2005 NISSAN FRONTIER, I HAVE INSTALLED 118525 ON TRUCK AND HAVE RUNNING LIGHT VOLTAGE ON 4 WAY PLUG AT TAIL OF TRUCK BUT NO VOLTAGE ON BRAKE OR RIGHT AND LEFT TURN SIGNAL VOLTAGE ON 4 WAY. PREVIOUSLY HAD A 118399 KIT ON REAR OF TRUCK, ASSUMED THAT I HAD A FACTORY TOW PACKAGE, BUT DID NOT. THIS ACTUALLY GAVE ME VOLTAGE AT PLUG FOR BRAKE AND TURN SIGNALS NO RUNNING LIGHTS. I DISCONNETED 118525 TO CHECK AGAIN AND DID NOT HAVE VOLTAGE AT PLUG, RUNNING, BRAKE OR TURN SIGNAL. RECONNECTED 118525 NOW BACK TO ORIGINAL RUNNING LIGHT VOLTAGE ONLY AT PLUG. WAS SOMETHING MESSED UP WITH THE 118399 THAT WILL NOT NOW WORK WITH THE 118525?

The blue relays of the Curt T-Connector Wiring kit part # C56225 that you installed on your 2005 Nissan Frontier are responsible for the turn signal/brake functions. It sounds like you either didn't install them yet on your vehicle or they have become damaged and need to be replaced. If you need to replace them, you would need one of the blue relays from the Curt Relay Kit # C57000 for each circuit.
I attached an install video for the # C56225 for you to check out also.
