How Far Will Hitch Pin Hole of Curt Hitch # C12264 Be Recessed Under Bumper of 2014 Grand Caravan
Question:
is the distance from the rear of the bumper to the hitch pin hole the same on curt #12264 and #13364. It looks like the other manufacturers of class 2 hitches are tucked farther under the bumper, thus requiring a longer draw bar.

When we installed the Curt # 13364 on a 2014 Grand Caravan, we found that the receiver was recessed under the vehicle so that there was four inches between the hitch pin hole and the furthest rearward point of the back bumper.
According to Curt, the receiver tube on the Curt Class II # C12264 is of the same length as the 13364, so it should also be recessed by 4 inches.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness, part # C56331, a ball mount, a pin and clip and a trailer ball.
The ballmount and ball used will depend on whether you go with the Class II or III hitch. For the Class III, use ballmount # 2753 and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 63845 for a 2 inch. Use the # PC3 pin and clip.
If you go with the Class II hitch, use the # C45016 ball mount, and # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # A-82 for a 2 inch ball. You'll need the # PC2 pin and clip.
