Any Additional Wiring Needed to Connect Brake Controller on 2013 Lincoln Navigator with Tow Package
Question:
Im confuse, once I hook up a break control for my 2013 Navigator , do I have to do any wiring at the back if it has a tow package equipped already? Or is it as simple as hooking my trailer adaptor to the truck adaptor and it works ?

If your 2013 Lincoln Navigator came equipped with a factory 7-way connector, you will not need to do any wiring at the back of the vehicle. The only thing you will need to do is to mount the brake controller, connect to the tow package port which is located under or behind the dash, and you are ready to go.
If by chance your vehicle only came with the factory 4-way, the installation of a 4 pole to 7 pole adapter, # 37185, will be needed. To make the connections for the brake and 12V power, you will most likely need additional wire like, # 10-2-1. I have included a link that gives step by step instructions on installing the adapter should you need to do this.
I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, # 90885, with Plug-In Wiring Adapter, # 3034-P. This brake controller activates trailer brakes in proportion to those in your vehicle to avoid a jerking motion while towing. With the plug-in wiring adapter, there is no need for cutting and splicing. You just plug the controller into the tow package port and you are done..
