Flow Max RV Fresh Water Pump Shutoff Test Pressure

Question:

Im looking for a replacement water pump. My existing pump looks very similar to the LC689052, but has a small leak where the pressure switch attaches to the pump. I removed the switch and re-attached, but it still leaks. The information on your site for the LC689052 says the pump is tested with a higher pressure at shutoff than other water pumps. Can you tell me what pressure? Obviously, Im looking for a pump that will not leak. It looks like the LC 689052 is possibly better constructed - can you speak to that? Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken; I reached out to Lippert on this and they were unable to find the specific pressure from the # LC689052 testing. It is a large company and sometimes information gets lost across it with other brands like the Flow Max. I would say the pump is well built and we haven't had any reports of it leaking aside from a faulty one that was replaced under the 2-year warranty. The pump is going to operate at the 50 psi mark so when it drops below that it will turn on and then at 50-55 psi it will shut off.

Thanks for looking into this. I'm going to give it a try.
