Do Kodiak Disc Brake Kits Change Location of Wheel on Trailer Axle

Question:

Does this kit change the location of the wheels giving it a wider stance or are the wheels in the same location for fender clearance? Any clearance mounting issues rubbing axle on a torsion axle? Thank you

Hey Jeremey, this is a great question but the Kodiak disc brake kits like the part # KOD87FR are designed to keep the wheel placement the exact same so that you wouldn't have to worry about frame or fender clearance issues. This would not rub on your torsion axle at all.

I forgot to ask with my other question yesterday is what size bolts are required for the qty 4 backplate bolts to hold the hub on? My trailer currently doesnt have brakes so I would need to get these. Thank you

@JamesonC For bolts you'd want the part # 7-75 for the bolts, part # 5-8 for a lock washer, and then for a nut part # 6-17.
