Recommended Replacement for a UFP A-70 Actuator

Question:

I am looking for a replacement actuator for my Shorelandr trailer. Currently have a non functional UFP A 70. I think I need an A 75 inner half for a dual axle. Please advise. Thanks

Steve, to replace your old UFP A-70 actuator I recommend going with the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator # DX33FR. This is going to be a direct replacement, is made in the USA, and will work drum brakes.

@Steve Then you'd need to add one with the Replacement Solenoid Valve for Dexter Brake Actuators with Reverse Lockouts # T4748800. You're also going to need a 5-way # HM47890 if you don't already have one.

BryceD can you tell me the difference between the DX29FR, DX89FR, DX99FR

@Steve Sure Steve, the main differences between # DX29FR, # DX89FR, and # DX99FR is that # DX89FR is 14" long, is top mounted and will work with 3" wide tongues; # DX29FR is 19" long and bolts to 3" x 4" trailer tongues, and # DX99FR is just the replacement inner member for # DX89FR.
