What Information Is Needed To Find a Replacement Surge Brake For a Obsolete Atwood?

Suggestion on a Atwood drum surge brake master cylinder replacement?. What will work? The Titan 60? Please help. Thanks.

There are several different surge brake options but I would need to know a bit more of what you have exactly to give you the best replacement option. First do you have Disc or Drum trailer brakes. Next I need to know the maximum weight your trailer is capable of weighing otherwise known as the trailers GVWR. And finally I need to know the frame size you are mounting to and if your current coupler is a weld on or bolt on unit. If it bolts on I would need to know the size of the bolts and where the holes are in relation to each other.

There is not going to be a replacement master cylinder which will fit your Atwood unit so you need to replace the entire surge brake actuator.

Hey Scott, the bolt holes of the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w/ Electric Lockout - Disc #DX56FR are 3" apart horizontally and 2-1/2" apart vertically. The holes are 5/8" from the top and bottom of the actuator.
