Swing-Away 2-Inch Drum Brake Actuator Coupler to Replace Discontinued Fulton A60

Question:

I have a Fulton A60 coupler with drum brakes 2inch ball with welded swing coupler. The coupler was very hard to move which started the project. I drilled out the pivot bolt which worked out perfectly. I then looked at the actuator which was none functional and would not slide to actuate the plunger on the master cylinder. I searched for a replacement unit but can not find the welded on unit. My question is if these are available. I am looking for a replacement unit that incorporates the welded on swing bracket. Ill even upgrade my drum brakes to disc if that coupler is available. I have more pics but for some reason could only upload one of them.

The Fulton A60 series surge couplers are now obsolete and since parts are no longer available for them I suggest you replace the unit with a new brake actuator like the Dexter # 099-175-00 (drum) or # 099-175-20 (disc).

This bolt-on coupler fits a 2-inch ball, mounts on a 3-inch wide channel tongue with bolt holes that are 3-inches on centers and is rated for 7500-lbs gross trailer weight. You can see more on this item in the linked video.

To create a foldaway tongue up to 48" long, you can use the Fulton Fold-Away Coupler Hinge Kit for 3" x 3" Tongue, part # FHDPB330301.
