Air Lift Air Spring Kit And Spacers Needed For A Lifted 2016 Ford F-150 With A Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

Ive been searching for system like this that will work on my 2016 f150 that has an in bed gooseneck hitch, and it looks like this will work perfectly. But I also have a 2 inch lift kit on the rear of my truck. Are there specific spacers or brackets I will need? Thank you so much. Tyler

Hi Tyler,

When adding in air springs on a lifted vehicle the proper way to determine the correct sized spacer is to first install the upper and lower brackets and then measure the distance between them and subtract the height of the air spring bellow (bag). Not every lift is going to create a gap and not every gap is going to be an equal match to the lift kit (ex: a 2" lift might not give you a 2" gap).

The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57385 you were looking at would be a fit for your 2016 Ford F-150 with a gooseneck hitch as long as you have it's a 4WD model. If you have a 2WD model then you'll want the # AL57268 instead. Air Lift offers the following spacers:

2" Lift # AL52420
4" Lift # AL52440
4" Lift Angled # AL49GV
6" Lift # AL52460
6" Lift Angled # AL79GV

Ok, so the spacer will actually go between the bag and the bottom bracket? So I just need to order the kit, and go from there. Thank you!
