Do Diodes of Roadmaster Tow Bar Lighting Kits Need to be Sealed
Question:
I am about to install the RM-15267 on a 2021 Chevy Colorado Z71. I watched the video but saw no mention made of weather/waterproofing the diodes after installation. The connections look kind of vulnerable to me. Also, do you recommend running the 4 wire cable in loom back to the front of the truck? The video just shows unprotected wiring being secured w/ zip ties. Thank you!

Hey Ron, so the diodes of the Roadmaster diode kit part # RM-15267 would not need to be waterproofed as they are sealed. You would just need to use your best judgment when mounting them so that they are out of the way of the weather as much as reasonably possible.
As far as using a wire loom I would say that's a solid idea. I think at worst it just ta little extra install time but it would help protect the wiring.
