Question:
Will this work with a short bed RAM 2500 with ramboxs? Im wondering about the clearance of the sidewalls of the truck when turning. I currently have a Reese Elite Sidewinder...

Hi Mike,
Unfortunately the Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel Pin Box # GY46FR would likely make contact with the Ram Boxes whenever you try to make a turn. With Ram Boxes your options for towing a 5th wheel are pretty much limited to rotating pin boxes, especially with a short bed. With this pin box you'd end up with the pivot point sitting 22" closer to the truck so the pin box could hit the side of the bed and the nose of the trailer could hit the cab of the truck. Is there a specific issue you're having with the sidewinder that you want to correct? If so, there might be an alternative solution we can look for.
