What Is the Mast Height on the etrailer Spare Tire Carrier
Question:
I am interested in buying the Curt 31114 Front hitch and eTrailer e98ZR spare tire holder on my 1999 Ford F250 Super Duty so I can mount the spare tire on the front of the truck. Before I make the purchase I want to know if there will be any clearance issues with the front grille/hood for mounting my LT285/75R16 spare tire. In particular what is the height of the upright piece and what angle is of the spare tire mounting plate?

Expert Reply:
The height of the etrailer Spare Tire Carrier # e98ZR is 25", and the angle of the mounting plate is 65 degrees to the mast, but bends 10 degrees, and then the plate mounts to the mast at 15 degrees.
I've attached the dimensional drawing of the plate, as well as the height of the mast for you to check out.
