Rear Door Clearances When Using Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender

Question:

Im comparing this Yakima BackSwing to some other swing awayinch hitch adapters. Im wondering if the arm are long enough that, when in the open swung away position it will clear the doors on a Promaster 2500? In other words, in the open position, will both of the rear doors on the Promaster be able to open correctly?

The Yakima BackSwing # Y02483 is 41 inches from hitch pin hole to the furthest point of the receiver tube when open. It is 31-1/2 inches from the hitch pin hole straight out to the inside edge of the receiver tube. It is 22-3/4 inches from inside edge to inside edge. I've attached a photo with these measurements to assist. It is 8-1/2 inches from the hitch pin to the back of the fixed side rail. I've also linked a video with more dimensions to assist.

You will need to make some measurements of your doors to determine if this will give you the clearances you need.
