Replacement Brake Assemblies for Trailer with Assemblies Marked B-12E-22 and BK-12-GG

I have a trailer with what appears to be axles with manual adjustment electric brakes that have 12x2 shoes. the only numbers that are legible appear to read B-12E-22 and BK-12-GG. will AKEBRK-6 work? Thanks.

Hey Jeff, yes the etrailer brake assemblies part # AKEBRK-6 is exactly what you have now so it would work great as a replacement for your assemblies that are marked B-12E-22 and BK-12-GG.

The brake assemblies you have now are the #AKEBRK-6 so for a self-adjusting setup you'd want the part #23-458-459. Then for a 7k hub with an 8 lug bolt pattern you'd want the part #AKHD-865-7-2-EZ-K.

On Dexter 12" Nev-R-Adjust Electric Brake Assembly #23-458 the shoe pad thickness is 3/16 of an inch. Dexter says that you should replace the shoes if the material gets down to 1/16 of an inch thick or less.
