Does Progressive Dynamics Converter Section PD4655V Support Lithium Batteries  

Question:

PD4655v Your video states that it is a replacement for WF8955pec and it will work for lead acid or lithium. Under QandA your experts are divided… some yes for lithium some No for lithium?? If yes will it output 14.6v needed for charging lithium batteries? Will it auto detect which type of battery you are charging and adjust accordingly?

Great question Larry, so the current version of the Progressive Dynamics converter # PD4655V does support lithium batteries as-is. At one point it did not but since lithium batteries have become more popular Progressive Dynamics decided to make this change.

So when you put the charger into lithium mode it will charge the batteries at the correct higher voltage that is required.
