Options For Replacing Bulldog Square, A-Frame Jack # BD195318 With Heavier Capacity Jack

Question:

Mike L explained that the bolt pattern is different on this jack than the normal jacks. I found that out as I needed a higher capacity jack due to our tongue weight. I ordered a 1750290317 5000# Bulldog and the holes do not line up. Our trailer had been modified previously to take the BD195318. In doing so the original holes are now damaged and blocked by the nuts used on the BD195318 hole locations. Is there another square tube jack which has the same hole location as BD195318 but has a higher load capacity? This old jack works just not well. Thankya

Expert Reply:

The Bulldog Square, A-Frame Jack # BD195318 is a unique jack with its mounting pattern and we currently do not have any other a-frame jack with the same mounting pattern. To switch back to a jack like the Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack # BD1750290317 you are going to want to replace your Coupler # CA5400 or weld in a new section to bolt the jack onto.

The other option is installing a jack like the Fulton # HD50000101 which will mount to the frame tube.
