Which Jounce-Style Suspension Enhancement Should I Install On 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Non Mag Ride

Question:

I have a 2020 Silverado 1500 NHT Max Tow Non Mag ride. I pull a 8500# travel trailer but might be upgrading to a 11000# travel trailer. My current 8500# trailer causes my Silverado to squat more than i care for and the EQualizer WandD hitch isnt helping as much as i would like either. I thought the Max Tow was supposed to have a beefier spring in it, but apparently it doesnt help that much either. Which would you suggest a Timbren or a Sumo Spring? And if so, which size. Thanks.

The Timbren and Sumo Spring suspension enhancement systems use a jounce-style spring which is an excellent choice for leveling out your truck and trailer, all while improving handling and reducing trailer sway. They simply replace your factory bump stops and require a simple bolt-in installation process. The SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SS45FR are confirmed to fit your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 but this only has a 1,500lb weight capacity for the rear of your truck, so I recommend going with a higher-rated system.

I recommend looking into either the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRTT15S (rated at 7,000lbs) or the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TGMRCK15S (rated at 8,600lbs). Both systems will work for you truck and it really comes down to how frequently you tow. I recommend going with the # TGMRTT15S 7K system as this should be sufficient for your towing needs based on what you told me. However, if you plan to have an excess amount of weight in the bed of the truck along with a heavy trailer and also tow very frequently, then I would go with the # TGMRCK15S 8K system as this is a little more heavy duty.

To clarify, the suspension setups mentioned above are not rated for max trailer weight, but are rated in the amount of weight that is on the rear suspension of your truck. This includes the tongue weight of the trailer and any cargo that is behind the rear axle of the truck such as an atv in the truck bed etc. I attached a demonstration video for you to check out regarding the Timbren jounce springs.
