What is the Difference Between the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuators # DX83FR and # DX27FR?

Question:

Hello, I need to replace my boat trailers 2001 Shorelander SR-V1831 brake actuator. My trailer has a UFP A-60 and am trying to understand what the difference is between the DX83FR and DX27FR? The specs look the same - are there different mounting/bolt patterns on these? Thanks! Brad

This is an excellent question Brad. The Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator # DX83FR is designed to bolt to a 3" wide by 5" tall frame while the Actuator # DX27FR is designed to bolt to a 3" wide by 4" tall frame. This is the only difference between the actuators as they are both for a 2" ball and have a 7,500lb capacity for drum brake trailers.
