Do Rear TorkLift Tie-Downs Need to be Different with TorkLift SuperHitch Installed on a Ram 2500

Question:

I read on the torklift website that installing this part will change where my camper tie downs have been mounted. Can you help me with information to understand what needs to change? are there instructions or diagrams? is drilling required?

Expert Reply:

The correct rear TorkLift Tie-Downs for the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLD1109 installed on your Ram 2500 is the Kit # TLR3507, which install directly to the side plates as you can see in the attached photo.

With a standard hitch installed the tie-downs should be mounted to your vehicle frame but this TorkLift hitch has mounting points on it for the tie-downs to be installed on which is why you need to swap out the rear kit you have installed.
