Looking for a Wider Trailer Tire than a 205/60-10 That is Not Over 20-1/2 Inches Diameter

Question:

I am building a trailer and the hubs are 5 on 4 1/2. I am considering the Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10inch White Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range C. However I would like a tire which is wider for improved floatation in wet areas but not exceeding 20.5. Any suggestions?

For 10 inch trailer tires you are limited to the 205/65-10 size. This tire size is a little over 8 inches wide. To go wider you would either need to go down to a 215/60-8, such as # AM3H323, or go up to a 14 inch or larger which would put you well over the 20-1/2 inch diameter.

A 215/60-8 tire could work. It is almost a 1/2 inch wider than a 205 and it would only be 18.3 inches in diameter. If you have the clearance needed between the tire side wall and trailer then this is probably the best option.

I have included a link to a video review of tire # AM3H323.
