What Kind of Port is Inside the 2018 Winnebago Fuse 23A and Can it Be Used for Flat Towing?

Question:

Thank you for the great response to my older question regarding setting up a new base plate and towing system in my 2022 Subaru Crosstrek! I have a follow up question relative to the new-to-me RV that will tow the Crosstrek: I purchased a used 2018 Winnebago Fuse 23A that has a very different towing connection to the 6-pin Roadmaster connection. Please see photos - back connector system is last 3 photos. First two photos, are possibly related to the towing system in the cab, but I dont know. Manuals were not helpful relative to the cab portion of the towing system. Can this existing connection system on the RV be used with my Roadmaster/Invisibrake system set-up as explained in the original question or am I better off establishing a different connection/wiring system compatible with the Roadmaster? Cost matters. Advice is much appreciated. Thank you!

You're welcome and thanks again for the pictures! The connector inside your RV is called an OBD2 port and it's used for inspections and other diagnostics. It does not work with anything towing related or a brake system like the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System item # RM-8700.

What's on the rear of your Winnebago is a 7-Way connector which is exactly what you'll need to connect to the 6-way connector on your 2022 Subaru Crosstrek using a cable like item # RM-1676-7.
