The first thing you are going to want to do is consult the owners manual for your 2013 Ram 2500 to make sure it can be flat towed. To flat tow a vehicle you will need base plates, a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking.

Since your 2013 Ram has tow hooks you can use base plates # BX1989. Your truck could be heavy depending on how it is equipped. So for a tow bar that has enough capacity and that is compatible with the base plates I recommend the Blue Ox Avail, # BX7420. It is rated for up to 10,000 pounds and it includes safety cables.

Economy tow bars such as # 63180 would not work for you. This tow bar is rated for just 5,000 pounds and has a maximum speed rating of 45 miles per hour.

For lighting, if you will not be towing the truck that often I recommend a magnetic lighting kit, # RM-2120. If you will be towing the truck often I recommend a more permanent kit such as # RM-154.

Most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. One of the easiest systems to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot, # BLU37TR, proportional braking system. It applies the Ram brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.

In order for the braking system to work properly you will also need stop light switch kit # RM-751460 and 12 volt outlet kit # RM-9332. I have included 2 helpful links to our series of articles on flat towing for you.
