how much trimming of the bumper cover is needed to install the etrailer hitch on teh 2024 jeep compass

Not much; you only have to cut a 3-3/8" wide x 2 5/8" long section on your 2024 Jeep Compass to install the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e48AR.

This will be under the bumper as well so it won't even be noticeable, but is needed so the receiver portion of the hitch has a place to protrude.

The etrailer hitch part #e48AR that fits your 2024 Jeep Compass does not require any drilling to install. It does require some fascia/heat shield trimming and the exhaust gets temporarily lowered to install though.
