Is the Stromberg-Carlson 3500 Pound Electric Trailer Jack Water Proof
Question:
Is this water proof where it can get splashed upon or submerged for short periods?

Expert Reply:
The Stromberg-Carlson trailer jack # JET-2500 can get wet as far as rain or maybe some splashing water. But it is not designed to be submerged. The switches are water resistant but not water proof. For something to be considered as water proof it has to be able to be submerged under water for a certain period of time and still operate like normal.
None of the electric jacks we carry should be submerged under water.
If your trailer jack would routinely get submerged under water then I recommend a manual jack. I have linked both the side wind and top wind manual A-frame jacks we carry.
