The Roadmaster base plates, # 483-1, are for the Ford Ranger and Mazda B-series pickup and will not fit your 2003 Hyundai Elantra.

Also, the Falcon 2 is a tow bar, not base plates. It is # RM-520. The tow bar attaches the motor home to the vehicle.

For your 2003 Hyundai Elantra the correct Roadmaster base plates are # 521612-1. And they can be used with the Falcon 2 tow bar, # RM-520. (Please note there are no base plate options for GT models without fog lights.)

In addition to the tow bar and base plates you will also need safety cables. You can use coiled cables # RM-643. The coiled design helps keep the the cables off of the ground.

Next you will need lighting. I recommend going with a simple magnetic kit, # RM-2120. This kit will bypass the vehicle wiring so you will not have to cut and splice into anything.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the easiest systems to set up and use is the Even Brake proportional system, # RM-9400. It will apply the Elantras brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.

Be sure to consult the Elantra owners manual for specific information on flat towing the vehicle. I have included some helpful links to our articles on flat towing for you to view.
