Can Reverse Lockout Solenoid Click and Still not Function

Question:

Hi I am having a problem with my trailer brakes not releasing in reverse. I have power coming from the truck to the trailer and I hear the solenoid clicking when I put in reverse. Is it possible the the solenoid is still bad even tho it seems to have power going to it? Thanks!

It is definitely possible that your solenoid is bad and is the reason the reverse lockout isn't working. The fact you can you hear yours click but it is still not activating would indicate this is the problem. To pick out a replacement we would need to know the brand of your trailer's actuator. For example, the Dexter part # T4748800 is correct for Dexter actuators.
