Can Mobile Home Axle with 42 Spindle Have 7k Hub/Drum Fit On it
Question:
So Ive got 3inch to 3-1/4inch round axles. They are old school 5 log. No center wheel, mobile home axles. And those dangerous tires that I guess or now illegal or something... Each axle is fitted with a number 42 spindle. From what I see, 5200 pound, 6000 pounds and 7000 pounds. Axles all use spindle number 42.. My trailer happens to need new break backing. New Hobbs, New bearings.. everything, Accept the spenders all look just fine in the axles of themselves look great. What would be the reason preventing me from upgrading? To say the 7 thousand pound twelve inch Eight lug set up?

Since you have 42 spindles on your axles there's no reason you couldn't use an 8k rates hub/drum with 8 lugs like the part # AKHD-865-7-1-EZ-K.
