Recommended Redarc Plug and Play Brake Controller Adapter for a 2022 Toyota 4Runner
Question:
202 Toyota 4Runner Off Road Pro with factory 7-way trailer wiring harness. Going to buy your Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller - but am confused with harness options. I have read about issues with the newer 4Runners. Which harness do I need for plug and play? Any other recommendations for parts needed? Thank you

To install either the Redarc Tow Pro Elite item # RED44FR or the Tow Pro Liberty item # RED24FR brake controller in your 2022 Toyota 4Runner you will need the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Brake Controllers item # RED49FR. This harness will have you up and running with no issues whatsoever.
This plug in adapter is custom fit and connects right above your emergency brake. I've linked a picture below to help you find the plug you need.
To complete your installation you can also use the Mounting Panel item # 331-TPSI-002. This panel is designed specifically to match the knockouts on Toyota vehicles. It will make the control knob look like a factory option.
