Can I Use A Weight Distribution Hitch On A 2014 Honda Pilot?
Question:
Hello I have a 2014 Honda pilot awd touring, I am towing a jayco 183rb dry weight 3200 ish , I wanted aFastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control - . Camping world told me a sway bar setup will not work with the Honda pilot. I am not sure if that is true. Can you help me out ? And if so what would be the best one for the pilot ? Thanks

I can certainly shed some light on the situation. I suspect that camping world told you this, because Honda discourages the use of a weight distribution hitch on a 2014 Pilot. The owners manual clearly states that it is not recommended as it may reduce handling and performance. We generally recommend contacting a dealership for more specifics on your vehicle.
All of that being said, if you do choose to use a weight distribution hitch, I recommend the Blue Ox TrackPro # BLU36FR. This is their 6,000 lb model and will work on trailers with a tongue weight between 200 and 600 lbs. It stands to reason that if your Jayco camper is 3,200 dry, you will always be within that range on tongue weight. Blue ox makes a great quality weight distribution hitch. They are extremely user friendly and easy to assemble. They have also proven to be the most effective WD hitch on the market.
I have linked our review video below if you want to take a look.
