Is A 5th Wheel Fixed Or Sliding Base The Better Option For A 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500 6-3/4' Bed
Question:
I have a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 6-3/4 Foot Bed with OEM Prep Pk I am buying a 2023 Northwood Arctic Fox Grande Ronde 27-5L. I was looking at the Companion part # BWRVK3775 but I was wondering if I will need the slider or is there a better choice? Thanks

We always recommend a sliding hitch with a 6', 6-1/2', or 6-3/4' bed in order to have enough clearance to prevent the nose of the trailer from coming into contact with the cab of the truck. With Companion fifth wheel hitches you can always replace the base later with a fixed one if you get a longer bed to mitigate the cost. It's a much cheaper cost to pay for the slider base than repairing the truck and trailer if they come into contact so I definitely recommend getting the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3775.
