What is Max Drop with Curt Short Arm Weight Distribution System
Question:
I was looking at this weight distribution hitch as of now with my truck and trailer I normally us an curt 2 inch and my trailer and truck stay pretty level 3 inch if empty maybe. My question is is it really only 1/2 inch max on this kit, curts website does not state this and I have no need for a huge bar maybe a couple inches max. I see the comparible round bar kit is up to 2 1/2 inch also.

Yes, the max drop of the Curt Short Arm part # C17333 is only 1/2 inch due to the head design. For a shank that you could use with this system that would allow a 3 inch drop you would want the Curt # 17120 which can do a drop of up to 5 inches. There isn't a way to order the WD system with this shank so you would have to order it in addition to it as they shanks can't be substituted.
