Tow Ready trailer wiring harness # 118424 is a fit for your 2010 Acura MDX. You will need to make sure that the white ground wire is attached to a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface. A weak ground connection could be the cause of the problem.
It is also possible that you will need a relay. Most of the vehicles that use this harness have the relay but if yours is missing the harness will not be fully functional. You can check to see if yours is present by finding its location using the vehicle owners manual. If not present you will need to visit an Acura dealer to get one. If it is present it could be bad and the easiest way to check it is to use a known good relay it its place.
