Does Curt Trailer Wiring Harness for 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid Require 55151 Install Harness
Question:
Hello: I have a 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid LE and need a wiring kit for the tow hitch. It appears that Curt 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector with Circuit Protected Powered Tail Light Converter for Hybrid, Code #C85FV, is what I need to install on the car. The instructions indicate an additional part, Curt powered converter wiring kit 55151 - sold separately, for connection to the car battery. However, the details page of Part 55151 notes NOT CONFIRMED TO FIT 2020 Toyota Camry. Please clarify it is the case for my 2020 Camry Hybrid. And is the wiring kit with Code #C85FV mentioned above will work on my Camry Hybrid without the Powered Converter Wiring Kit Item # 55151? Thank you. Kind regards,

Expert Reply:
For your 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid the Curt trailer wiring harness part # C85FV is a confirmed fit. The wiring harness part # 55151 is required to run the power wire up to the battery as well. It is confusing that it shows as "not a fit" for your vehicle but I can assure you it does.
