Question:
why is my lh signal spade hot at all times truck running lights and brake work ok but constant power to 9:oo position looking into receptacle-using adaptor to 4 pin supplied with truck - when connected powers lh lamp so both signals flash -power should be in 1:00 position- can i pull a fuse in electrical centre to fix or do i have to rip plug apart or wrong adaptor? your reply would be very much appreciated-thanks,

The problem has to be somewhere in the wiring. Was the 7-way recently replaced? It sounds like the 12 volt accessory circuit is either ran to the wrong terminal or is shorting out somehow to the 9:00 position of your trailer connector. Is there power constantly at the 1:00 position of the 7-way? This terminal is supposed to be the 12 volt power supply.
You might check to see if this circuit sees voltage when the brakes are applied or flashes when the left blinker is on. This would indicate that the two circuits have somehow been wired up backwards and would need to be swapped. The easiest way would be to cut the wires coming out of the back of the connector and use butt-end connectors to wire to the other circuit.
I attached an FAQ article on trailer wiring for you to check out also.
