Locking Out Dexter Surge Actuator to Convert to Electric Over Hydraulic

Question:

I have a Shorelandr Model: SRV592KMWLS0-16, model year 2021 with 4 disc brakes. It has what appears to be this surge brake actuator DX56FR. It is mounted inside the swing-away tongue channel, and exterior dimensions of the channel are 3 1/2inch x 5. I am converting the brake system to electric over hydraulic using the Hydrastar Vented Marine ITEM # HS381-9067. Two questions: 1. Do you have a fixed coupler to replace the current coupler? 2. If you dont have coupler, what is the recommended way to permanently lock-out the current coupler and maintain the 7,500lb weight rating? My proposed solution is buy another manual lock out tabfoot and drill a hole thru the lockout tabs on both sides and use a stainless steel grade 5 bolt. to thru bolt both lock out tabs into place. Thoughts? Solutions?

I would just use the stainless steel bolt method you mentioned to lock out the coupler you have. That's going to be the easiest and simplest solution. This is a very common solution for your situation where you are wanting to go from the surge brakes to an electric over hydraulic setup like the # HS381-9067.
