Why Does The Demco DM6333 Work With A Husky Slider But The Curt # C88KR Does Not?

Why doesnt the Curt C88KR work with Husky sliders when the Demco DM6333 does? The Demco is 2 1/4inch high and the Curt is actually taller at 2.5. 2024 Chevy 2500 install.

Expert Reply:
The Curt # C88KR will not work with a Husky slider hitch because the handles and cross supports sit slightly too high. They would come into contact with the bottom of the husky hitch, and you would not be able to lower the hitch all the way in to place. The cross supports and handles on the Demco adapter # DM6333 sit slightly lower and will not interfere with a Husky slider hitch. It really comes down to a difference of about 1/2" or less. We have put this to the test here at our shop in Missouri and we can confirm that the Demco # DM6333 will work with a husky slider. This is also confirmed to fit your 2024 Chevy Silverado with the factory puck system.
