Tips For Removing A Stripped Set Screw On A DTALBM6600 Ball Mount

I brought a rekeying kit but the set screw is broken how can I get the old one out

If the set screw on your # DTALBM6600 ball mount is broken, it will certainly make removing it tricky.
If the screw is stripped, you may want to try using a different size allen wrench. I would take every size that I have and try larger sizes and see if you can get one to catch. It would help to spray it down with penetrating oil before you try to remove.
Another thing you could try would be a left handed drill bit. You would need to use a very small bit, as the set screw is 1/20". This might be difficult to do without damaging the threads, but this is a method we use very often to remove stripped or broken screws.
Beyond that, there is really no "work around" for removing the set screw. If it cannot be removed you would be looking at a whole new ball mount.
