Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch System For a 7X14 Enclosed Trailer 7,000LBS GVWR

Question:

Hello, I have a 2013 Toyota Sequoia SR5 and an 7x14 Interstate Loadrunner tandem axle. Im going to be making some cross country trips with some pretty heavy loads one way and unloaded on the way back. The sequoia has a 2.5-3” lift in the front and I believe rear 1.5” maybe 2” in the rear. Its also on 33” tires. What would be my best options as far as a WDH for this setup or would i be fine with a BandW hitch? Thank you!

I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0800 for your 7x14 Interstate Loadrunner tandem axle trailer. This hitch is rated for trailers up to 8,000lbs with a tongue weight between 400-800lbs. If your unloaded tongue weight is lower than 400lbs you can swap the bars for 2 of the 600LB Trunnion Bars # FA92-02-0699. These are rated for a tongue weight of 250-600lbs. The e2 hitch incorporates sway prevention in the hitch. This is very important especially with an unloaded enclosed trailer as the winds on the highways will easily blow it around.

You will need a 2" Hitch Ball # EQ91-00-6080 and 1-7/8" 12pt Thin Walled Socket # ALL643216 to go with the hitch.
