Can B&W Companion Be Used with a 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty and Turning Point Pin Box
Question:
Hello, I plan on upgrading to a fifth wheel and am seeking advice on a hitch. I will most likely be going with a BandW companion but not sure if I should do standard or sliding. The fifth wheel I plan to buy has a turning point king pin. If I use that, do I not need a sliding hitch? I have a 2020 ford f250 with the 6 3/4 ft bed. Thank you.

The B&W Companion is an excellent choice in a 5th wheel hitch so I definitely recommend going that route. Since your 2020 Ford F-250 has a short bed I do recommend using the Turning Point pin box so you can use a lighter fixed hitch and still have enough cab clearance for when you have tighter turns.
The fixed Companion that fits the OEM puck system on your truck comes with 2 different weight ratings:
- 20K # BWRVK3300
- 25K # BWRVK3305
If you don't have the OEM puck system then I also recommend installing the Reese # RP87FR which is an aftermarket name for the OEM Ford puck system.
The Reese Custom Wedge # SWW-06 is something else that you'll want to pick up as we've found it to match the Turning Point mounting bolt pattern and it's a perfect match for the Companion jaws.
