Recommended Ladder Rack for Two Canoes on a 2011 Ford F-250 Crew Cab
Question:
2011 Ford Super Duty 250 8’ Bed. How far can canoes extend over cab with this rack? Will this rack height be above my cab height so I can extend over cab with canoes? I have two long canoes. Current rack allows over cab but is not wide enough. I cannot go back too far or I hit the bikes and rv, bike rack is from you, works. Also have the hitch from you for front of truck, more bikes. Needs lots of room with kids.

Thanks for the picture! I checked with Yakima there's no specific distance with the Yakima Outdoorsman 300 Ladder Rack item # Y01137-Y00411 that states how far the canoes can be mounted over the cab of your 2011 Ford F-250. A good rule of thumb is three feet though. So long as you stay below the 300 lbs weight capacity and have them properly secured you will be good.
The top of the crossbar for the Yakima Outdoorsman 300 Ladder Rack item # Y01137-Y00411 is 29" from the top of your F-250's bed.
