2023 Ford Bronco Wildtrak Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendations
Question:
I have a 2023 Ford Bronco Wildtrak. I have installed the Curt wiring harness for being able to flat tow the Bronco. I now need to add a tow hitch to the Bronco and need to setup the wiring for towing a trailer behind the Bronco. Are there any wiring harnesses that enable both flat tow and trailer usage?

Expert Reply:
Since flat tow wiring is designed to receive a signal and trailer wiring harnesses are designed to send a signal you will need a second wiring harness on your 2023 Ford Bronco Wildtrak, but it will be a style that tees in so it will fit with the Curt flat tow wiring. Here are the parts I recommend installing on your Bronco:
- Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT37GR
- Curt Wiring # C42WR (for 4-Way flat) OR Tekonsha Wiring # TK55VR (for 7-Way)
- Wiring Bracket # BK4F (for 4-Way) OR Bracket # PK12711U (for 7-Way)
To wrap up your towing setup you'll also need a ball mount and for that I've linked our helpful article for you to check out so you get the right one the first time.
