Timbren or Roadactive Kit for 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 with Sag when Towing

Question:

I have a 2019 chevy Silverado Z71 model 5.3L v8. I am pulling an ultra-lite trailer that only weighs 5000 lbs. Of course, then we add wood, bicycles, golf clubs, awnings and rugs the bed is full. This truck rides great when not pulling a trailer and really when pulling the trailer, I get no swaying or any of that. The truck squatsinch 2.5 inches when hooked to the trailer and fully loaded. I am only trying to correct the squat and reduce the impact on the rear end when you get the up and down movement from driving over severe uneven surfaces. All that said I am trying to determine whether the Timbren Suspension Enhancement system or the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement kit would solve my issue. Would like your input?

Helpful Expert Reply:

Both the Timbren and he Roadactive part # RAS54FR would work for getting rid of the sag you mentioned but the RAS kit is for sure the winner. The Timbrens get the job done but they are notoriously harsh when loaded and unloaded whereas the RAS kits actually improve loaded and unloaded ride quality and improve handling. They are also adjustable too unlike the Timbrens.
