How To Figure Out If Your Can Offset Slide-Out Awning And Still Use Factory Installed Rail

Question:

I am looking at slide toppers for my camper. I have the plates already attached from factory so I don’t have to drill holes. I want to make sure I get the right thing. My awning canopy’s 2 go on each side of my front slide. One side had 8” of room between slide and awning the other has 2”. Can the slide toppers be offset and still mount on the original factory mounts? Thanks

That'll depend on the size of the rail the factory installed on your camper.

If the rail is wider than your slide topper you should be able to offset the slide-out awning as needed, but if it's exactly the size of the slide-out, you'll need to use a size smaller awning to give you clearance on the one side.

You didn't mention the size of your slide but if you can measure your slide out outside of flange to outside of flange I'd be happy to recommend the correct option for you either way.

For example the # LCV000182037 you were looking at would work with a slide between 116" - 121" wide.
