Option Because No Trailer Leaf Springs are Long Enough
Question:
I have an older trailer first registered in 1950 The current leaf springs measure 32,5 inches center of eye hole to eye hole in length but are flattened. The trailer bracket eye holes measure 31.5 inches. I have been on the hunt for 31,5-inch leaf springs with no luck. Im under the impression that I will need the eye hole for the spring will need to be directly under the eye hole for the trailer with the suspension shackles. my questions are: Do you have 31.5 inch spring eye-to-eye, or will it be okay to use the 30inch spring UG34FR you have listed?

You cannot use the 30 inch leaf springs as they won't be long enough; you were correct about where the leaf spring holes needed to be. What you will likely have to do is cut off your existing hangers and weld on new ones to match a new leaf spring size. For example if you have a single axle trailer with 3-1/4" front hangers and 1-1/4" rear hangers use the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APS4.
You need to be sure to place them correctly and I have attached an article below on axle placement that should be helpful. I have also included a link that will take you to our available selection of hangers so you can find the right length.
