Re the lock n roll 2.5” coupler. I see the 3” bolt holes have a 3” spacing. What is the length of the 2.5” section?

The tube length of the Lock N Roll Articulating Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler part # 336TS506 is 6-5/8" which you can see in the photo below as well as the attached video.
